Driving in...
This was the expanse as we drove in. The sea is huge. 1300 meters below sea level. And those mountains in the distance are Jordan, which owns the eastern coast of the Dead Sea.

The beach by our hotel
It wasn't super warm, but our hotel put out beach umbrellas and lounge chairs to encourage peeps to visit.

Landscape
Utah? or Israel?

Flag in the water
This flag was just in there and I thought it was nice!

Getting wet feet!
The water is 30% salt. This makes the water feel very thick, and nourishing, although it stings a bit as well. I did go swimming in it but I didn't bring my camera, so this is all I've got of me in the saltiest water on Earth!

Little wading umbrella
I'd imagine in the summertime when it's 100 degrees out here, that umbrella is a mighty fine place to lounge. But in December, it's only about 60 degrees here and the water was quite chilly so it was mostly good for looking at.

Salt crystal guy

Textbook photo
Doesn't this photo look like it would be the photo displayed in the Encyclopedia under "Dead Sea"?

Textbook photo 2
Here's another. The views were fantastic!

Mountain from my hotel window
This mountain was right behind our hotel. I had a little crush on this mountain throughout our stay here.

Looking down from the 15th floor
This is the view looking down from our hotel room

Me and the Dead Sea
This was right before we left and Mom and I went back to gather some salt rocks from the shore.
